Whats The Fastest Way For Men To Get Into Shape - Just Listen to A Woman
Men and women differ in opinion on many topics. And one big issue is how they approach exercise. For the most part I think men can discover some powerful body transforming keys by observing women.
For instance when you talk to a man about getting into shape, what is the first thing that you hear. I will bet you dollars to doughnuts that pumping iron, especially the bench press and barbell curls will be the topic of conversation. And after that he will probably talk about running for 5 to 6 miles 3 days a week to get rid of his pepper gut.
But when you talk to a woman you get a whole different picture. She will tell you about the Pilates class that she just joined, or the high energy mega calorie burning spinning class that she goes to 2 times per week.
What it all boils down to is men and women strive for a different kind of fitness. Now they both want to be healthy and have a great body but the focus is a tad bit different.
Men want to see how big and muscular they can get by lifting heavy weights and running.
While women strive for the total package (great looks, great flexibility, core strength, and cardio) by using pilates, yoga, aerobics, and weight training.
Maybe that’s why women on average live 20 years longer than men do.
Even in the area of exercise they have outsmarted us men.
Now don’t get me wrong, it is ok to lift weights and run. It just shouldn’t be your only form of exercise because before you know it your flexibility and other key areas in your physical fitness will suffer.
I have seen guys with the body of Hulk Hogan, that couldn’t bend over to touch their toes to save their lives, or walk up a flight of stairs without breathing like a race horse.
In fact when I first jumped into bodybuilding I was one of these guys.
My problem was that it was an uphill battle for me to bulk up. I stopped doing cardio so that I could pack on 20 pounds of muscle.
This turned out to be a big mistake.
The results of cutting cardio from my workouts reared it’s ugly head when I tried to play a game of basketball at the YMCA.
After 2 minutes of play I was doubled over with my hands on my knees, gasping and wheezing like a 300 pound man trying to run a marathon.
I felt like a show pony. Big and buffed but no physical ability.
So my suggestion to men is to take the same approach to exercise as women do.
Go for the whole package… aim to improve your flexibility, your cardio, your overall strength, and your core strength.
Now I know there are a few men out there that will not feel very masculine working out with a group of women or will be easily distracted by the attractive women in the yoga, aerobics, or pilates class, so I suggest that you take the same route that I did and try a martial arts class instead.
If you practice a martial art that focuses on giving you extraordinary athletic ability and longevity such as Kung Fu, in as little as two short months you can be on your way to losing weight, boosting your strength, restoring your flexibility, and enhancing your endurance.
