Always Be in Control (ABC) in Climbing and Bouldering

Have you even tried climbing or bouldering losing the sense of control?

You find yourself losing the grip or the contact when you are reaching for the next handhold or foothold even when you know that you have the power in your arms. The legs slip off from the foothold?

Your bouldering or climbing movements are not smooth? During bouldering, are there jerky movements which drain lots of energy? Cannot limit these unnecessary movements? These movements want be distracting as it involves noises (eg: the hands or feet hit on the wall ) .Want to eliminate these noises as well? This brings me to realize that power is nothing without control in bouldering.

oh yeah i repeat again, Power Is Nothing Without Control.

Then how are you going to regain the control during climbing or bouldering? Is there any way or techniques in doing so?

BREATHING!!! Remember to regulate your breathing during bouldering. No holding of breath. No panting. Breath in through the nose and exhale through the mouth during the bouldering. No exception. No reverse. And Do not try to be funny. lol

Next remind yourself about ABC. Always Be in Control. If you cannot control yourself, who else? Remember ABC.

Repeat again to yourself, ABC.

Good. You are getting there.

Use it whenever you feel like it. When the climb goes bad. When you feel bad about the bouldering route. Anything.Everywhere. You can use it in your work or study too! It will be very useful in your daily life.

Meanwhile climb hard and climb safe!
